STUDENT INTEREST:
Hey Computech Tigers, did you know that there is only week remaining until we take the 2013 California Standards Test! That’s right, only 5 more school days for us to prepare for this year’s Star Test. Did you know that this will more than likely be the final year that both 7th and 8th grade students in California ever take the CST? In the future
years, students from across the nation will be taking the upcoming common core state standards test. As this will more than likely be the final year that we all take the CST, we want to go out with a bang and show our community and even our state what Computech students are made of and what they can achieve. Focus hard in your classes in the next 5 days, get a good night’s rest before each night of the test and let’s show the world what we can do! Oh and remember, all students that score proficient or advanced on all of the different portions of the CST will be invited to the first ever Computech movie night at a local movie theater upon our return to school this August, that includes our current 7th and 8th grade students. In other words, what we are saying is- let’s rock the star!
Students, the final school wide fundraiser of the school year, our spring tri-tip fundraiser, is currently underway. We need your help! This spring, we have set a goal of selling over 300 meals. We need your help in order to get us there. Remember, the top selling student this spring will win a brand new iPad mini. How cool is that! Second and third place top selling students will also win cool prizes. In addition, the top selling first period class will
win a donut, pizza or ice cream party. Remember, all meal orders are due to your first period teacher on the 17th of May and meal pick-up will be the 24th of May.
